WOMAN IN THE WOODS, 2014

I was in Illinois for the funeral of my friend, James Day. On this August night the air was warm but gusty. A 19th century building on Main Street was having work done inside, though the crew was long gone. Billowing plastic sheets covered the space the shop windows had occupied. They were lit with the tepid yellow light of the street lamps. The low light and fast moving plastic meant I could get only half or less of the shot in focus. The fourteen images of this series are the result.
